Lufthansa is "a better partner than Air France for Ita, but it will limit itself to taking passengers to Munich and Frankfurt, as it has already done in Brussels and Zurich with Sabena and Swissair". (HANDLE)

For Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary, Lufthansa's entry into Italy could also be good news for the low-cost carrier

.

Lufthansa is "a better partner than Air France for Ita, but it will limit itself to taking passengers to Munich and Frankfurt, as it has already done in Brussels and Zurich with Sabena and Swissair".

I'm happy for us - he adds -

because it will raise the fares for Ita's flights and so people will fly more with us".

"It's not true - explains the manager - that young people prefer the train to the plane.

The train makes sense for journeys of up to two hours, then you need the plane ", he explains. Who wants to go from Milan to Rome - he concludes - takes the train but who wants to go to Sicily or Sardinia, what does he do?

He has to fly with us and we take him to his destination."
