Parity in the media: sports broadcasts are lagging behind

DECRYPTION - Women are particularly underrepresented in sports programs according to a study by Arcom.


A trompe-l'oeil feminization?

Good news, women were more present on the air in 2022 according to the annual study published yesterday by Arcom (ex-CSA) on the representation of women on television and radio.

Their presence on the air and on the air has increased by one point to reach 44%, its highest rate since 2016. Women are now more visible on television (+1 point, to 46%) although the figure stagnates at 42% on the radio.
