The new Münster "Tatort: MagicMom" plays in the world of influencers.
As usual, a humorous thriller that also skewers the discussion about gender roles.

"Oh, what wonderful times those were when relationships actually had something to do with relationships." Frank Thiel (Axel Prahl) and Karl-Friedrich Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers) have their doubts that the friendships formed in social media are linked, are real.
With the duo, director Michaela Kezele (screenplay: Regine Bielefeldt) takes us into a world in the new Münster "Tatort: MagicMom" that most of us regularly enter via smartphone and PC - and whose perfection we allow ourselves to be dazzled against our better knowledge ;
of the happiness that the beautiful people on Instagram and Co. radiate.
Like "MagicMom", a mom influencer - half mother, half influencer, whose real name is Evita Vogt (Laura Louisa Garde) and who doesn't manage to raise children as easy-peasy as her internet posts suggest.
Now MagicMom is dead, hanged.
But as Boerne quickly realizes: After she had already died, someone took the trouble to hang the woman in her Münster architect house.

Many "haters" are likely to have done something to the magical mommy.
Envious like her competitor Sabine Hertweck (strong: Agnes Decker) aka "BusyBine", who has discovered a perfidious business model.
"Children are
the
IT piece of life," she explains to the puzzled inspector and his eternal unasked co-investigator Boerne.
In other words: a cute accessory with which a lot of money can be made.
The fact that "Busybine", who advertises online how to get fit again after giving birth, was in fact never pregnant and uses photos and videos with lifelike dolls instead of living babies, is a successful highlight of this successful story.
Strong supporting actors like Agnes Decker and Golo Euler
In order to be enthusiastic about it, you have to be a fan of the troupe, which tends towards slapstick - that's how it is with the people of Münster.
Liefers in particular can't do much more than caricature.
But Prahl, ChrisTine Ursprechen, Mechthild Großmann and Björn Meyer in the other main roles and great supporting actors like Decker and Golo Euler reliably tear out some weak, amateurish-looking scenes in this film as well.
What is the purpose of the school theater-esque performance of the young Julius Casper Gold as the prosecutor's grandnephew?
One could have saved oneself in this varied film.
This is loosened up by flippant sayings, changing cell phone/camcorder/surveillance camera perspectives and funny TikTok-style explanatory films.
An entertaining thriller that also impales the discussion about gender roles.
