"Ferrari has always been a point of reference in Italy and God forbid but the dimension of the Formula 1 world has changed: other teams and other drivers have grown. Saying 'we are there...' is no longer enough. We need to work
on weaknesses to grow without entering a typical dimension of ours which is that of emotion, because only with determination can we get out of difficult situations".
This is the advice that Stefano Domenicali, president and managing director of Formula 1 gives to Maranello, after the lackluster start to the season.
Interviewed by Sportmediaset, he added: "Even if after just one race you don't have to be emotional, you have to stay focused and try to solve problems with your head down. Also because from what I saw in the first days of practice, the elements to be confident In a year like this, everyone is here."
"The key is to be different from the others and not have to copy anyone - Domenicali continues speaking of Verstappen, winner in Bahrain - I remember Raikkonen who was himself, he was not a person who inspired sympathy from a relational point of view but was followed throughout the Verstappen has his own strength, he is a Formula 1 driver and is only involved in Formula 1.
I think he has grown compared to a few years ago when he was a much more impetuous rider.
Now he's a driver who hardly gets it wrong."
