Long-time readers will surely remember that in 2004 the world was in an uproar over the sex tape of
Paris Hilton
and her ex-partner,
Rick Solomon
.
Hilton was only 19 when the film was shot in 2001, and in her new book she revealed the pressure Solomon put on her.
"He often told me that he had done it before with other women, but it made me uncomfortable. I felt weird about it. I told him I couldn't do it, that it was too embarrassing for me."
According to her, Rick, who was 13 years older than her, moved to manipulations and threats that led to the destruction of her life and the life of her family.
"He told me that if I didn't agree to do it, he would find someone else who would be willing. It was the worst thing for me - to be dumped by an older man because I was a stupid girl who didn't know how to play on the adults' court."

After the tape was taken, Hilton begged Solomon not to release it - and he refused.
"According to him, he had every right to sell something that belonged to him - something that had a great financial value. It seems that the value was higher than my privacy, self-respect and my future."
The members of the heiress's family were also affected by the publication of the tape.
"My mother got into bed and didn't get out of it. My father was furious and started calling lawyers, experts in crisis management, trying to help me and conduct damage control."
Hilton managed to recover from the difficult period and a few weeks ago became a mother for the first time in her life, after she and her husband
Carter Raum
gave birth to a first-born son through a surrogate mother.
