The unions continue to put pressure on the government, hoping to see it back down on its pension reform.

It was strongly anticipated, it is now official.

The next two days of mobilization organized by the inter-union against the pension reform will take place on Saturday March 11 and Wednesday March 15, the unions have confirmed.

If the first date had already been announced this Tuesday, March 7, the evening of the previous event, the doubt hovered on the other hand on the exact day of the second.

The opponents wanted to strike a blow on the “

day of the joint parity commission

”, an important stage in the parliamentary process.

However, this date was not yet fixed last Tuesday.

The centrals had then warned that they "

would come back very quickly to give details

".

It's now done.

In parallel with these days of action, the inter-union directly challenged the Head of State.

During a press conference, she vilified the “

silence of the President of the Republic which constitutes a serious democratic problem, and which inevitably leads to a situation which could become explosive.

"And to add:"

Six huge mobilizations have received no response, it can not last (...) In responsibility, the Intersyndicale will send a letter to him

(Emmanuel Macron, editor's note)

asking to be received urgently for that he withdraw his reform

”.

A point to which the Prime Minister responded on Wednesday:

"If the trade unions wish to raise certain specific points, the door of the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt always remains open"

, declared Elisabeth Borne, in the Senate.

If the date scheduled for the mobilization next week was still unclear until now, the will of the centrals to continue the fight was well known.

The latter want to put in a new effort as the reform arrives in the final parliamentary stretch.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the Senate also voted the pivotal article of the pension reform project pushing back the retirement age to 64 years.

"

We are entering two crucial weeks

," said Yvan Ricordeau, national secretary at the CFDT.
