(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, MARCH 10 - Joe Biden and Ursula von derLeyen will discuss a US-EU agreement on the so-called critical minerals, essential for the transition towards clean energy.
This was stated by a senior US administration official in a briefing with a small group of journalists about the talks in Washington between the two leaders.
The idea of a US-EU club on critical minerals to reduce dependence on China, which is one of the richest countries in these elements, had been in the air for a few months.
The Inflation reduction act was also at the center of the conversation between the two leaders, on which "it is hoped that we will find common ground".
