The lean years are over.
For the first time since the mid-1980s, savers who placed their savings in the fund in euros of their life insurance saw their remuneration increase, sometimes by 1.5 points more than the previous year.
The best funds in euros have thus returned more than 2.50% over the year 2022. However, there is better to do to try to earn more than inflation, without taking excessive risks.
1. Are there opportunities among bond funds?
Yes, but not with just anyone.
Disappeared from circulation for ten years, dated funds (also called maturity funds) are making a comeback.
Their operation is simple: the manager buys corporate bonds and undertakes to keep them until their term.
If all goes well, the fund will thus collect interest each year and then, at maturity, be reimbursed for the capital invested by each of the companies financed.
The latter being now forced to pay high interest rates to investors...
