(ANSA) - TUNIS, MARCH 10 - Last night the Tunisian Coast Guard rescued 1,008 migrants aboard boats in distress off Tunisian territorial waters, in particular off the coasts of Sfax, Lerkennah, Madia and Sousse.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Tunisian National Guard in a new statement on Facebook, specifying that of the 1,008 migrants rescued, 954 are from various sub-Saharan African countries and 54 are Tunisians.
According to the same source, all have been reported to the judiciary.
