This is what we read in a tweet published by Alarm Phone in reference to the boat with 47 people on board reported yesterday off the coast of Libya.
"There are now three merchant ships at the scene of the distress: the Kinling, the Atlantic Nord and the Basilis l. We do not know if they are carrying out a salvage operation because we have lost contact with the boat. We repeat: do not forcefully return them to #Libya!".

This morning an Alarm Phone tweet from this morning announces that the people in distress on the boat coming from Libya have called the NGO again.
"More than 24 hours after our initial notification to the authorities, they are exhausted and still at sea, battling wind and severe weather conditions. We urge authorities to coordinate a rescue as soon as possible and get people to safety in Italy!" .
