Great commotion caused
the death of a tourist in the heart of Mendoza
, on the morning of this Monday.
A man, of Cuban nationality and living in Chile,
fell from the tenth floor of a hotel
and the cause of death is being investigated.
The deceased person was identified as Nelson Luis Sánchez Oliva,
69 years old
.
He was staying at the Mendoza hotel, on the corner of Espejo and España, where the financial city is located.
The fall occurred at 9:30 a.m. this Monday, at a time when there was a lot of movement of traffic and pedestrians.
The tourist's body was left lying on the sidewalk, next to an old tree.
By chance, he did not fall on top of those who were passing through one of the main streets of the downtown,
a few meters from the Stock Exchange, the PAMI legal office
and different banking entities.
It is not yet clear to investigators why the fall occurred.
Witnesses claim that the man was having breakfast in his room and that
an explosion was heard prior to the outcome.

The police officers who were patrolling the area and were the first to arrive in front of the hotel said that the body
was “giving off smoke”.
The tourist had entered the hotel last Saturday and had to leave it this afternoon.
He was staying in a room on the tenth floor, from where he fell.
Justice is investigating a possible suicide, but they are still looking for evidence to confirm this hypothesis.
When hotel staff and policemen managed to gain access to the Cuban's room, they noticed that on the balcony they found
remains of a breakfast and his suitcase intact.
According to the witnesses who were in the street at the time of the fall, the smoke coming out of the body was because
the tourist's cell phone would have exploded
as a result of the fall.
