(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 10 - Apple is launching an app entirely dedicated to classical music.

It's called Music Classical, it will be officially available from March 28 and has a catalog of over 5 million songs, alongside the biographies of the main composers and insights into the works.

For the classical music offer, the Cupertino giant has also paid attention to quality: some tracks can in fact be listened to with Hi-Res Lossless resolution, i.e. the best possible today on Apple devices, with thousands of recordings composed with more enveloping spatial audio.

Apple Music Classical will also offer a series of fully restored high-resolution digital portraits of many of history's greatest composers.

These are jobs, explains the company, "

specially commissioned to a heterogeneous group of male and female artists.

The images blend historical research with the colors and artistic references of the related classical period.

The results show an attention to detail, bringing audiences face to face with the most important faces of classical music". The app offers the possibility to search by composer, work, conductor or even by catalog number, to instantly find specific recordings At the moment, there is no version for iPad or Mac but only for iPhone with iOS 15.4 or later operating system. Over the next few months, Music Classical will also arrive on Android. The download is free but an Apple Music subscription will be required for use. (ANSA ).
