Probably the rarest Pokémon card of all time has appeared on eBay.
Only 39 of the Pikachu Illustrator card are estimated to have been made, and so far only 24 of the special Pikachus have been authenticated by the PSA, the largest ratings firm.
Some of these cards have already changed hands for a record sum of over 5 million US dollars.
It's no wonder that the collector Tomoya Ohno is now also trying his luck on eBay.

Logan Paul spent over $5 million during his Pokémon hype to get one of the rare Pokémon Illustrator cards.
However, instead of storing this rarity in a display case, he sported the card around his neck at WrestleMania.
But don't worry, nothing happened to the card in the ring.
Tomoya Ohno started the auction for his card rarity on eBay for a whopping 480,000 US dollars (about 450,000 euros).
His brush-wielding Pikachu card received an Eight rating from the PSA, so it's in near-perfect condition.
Despite the Pokémon hype and the state of the card, nobody seemed interested in his auction.
There was no trace of bidders for the cute Pikachu.

The fact that nobody really seems to be interested in the rare card probably surprised the sales platform as well.
Because before the auction started, eBay banged the advertising drum vigorously.
The start of the auction on February 24 also made it onto several news portals, but all of that wasn't enough.
Because even after the bidding deadline on March 5, not a single bidder for the Pokémon Illustrator card had been found.

It's not yet clear if the rare card will be listed on eBay again, but the platform's press office said they're staying in touch with Tomoya Ohno.
Even if it can be assumed that the price of the card will be adjusted in a new auction, the sum will most likely remain utopian.
