Clandestine motorcycle race, died at the age of sixteen in Brianza

(ANSA) - BIASSONO, MARCH 13 - A 16-year-old boy, Christian Donzello from Monza, died of serious injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident during an illegal race with other young people yesterday afternoon in Biassono (Monza).

A car turned onto the road where the motorbikes were racing and Donzelli and another 18-year-old motorcyclist from Carate Brianza (Monza) were unable to avoid it.

One was taken to SanGerardo in Monza, from where he was discharged with seven days of prognosis, the other to Niguarda in Milan where he died.


   Numerous videos of the accident circulating on the web shot by the many boys present to follow the race.


    According to what emerged yesterday, the boy rode his 125 enduro motorcycle along the long straight road in viale Friuli together with at least three other friends, for a challenge between centaurs, surrounded by dozens of young people to form the audience.

When a car veered in their trajectory, driven by a 22-year-old from Ennebrianza, Donzelli and another 18-year-old motorcyclist from Carate Brianza (Monza), were unable to avoid it, crashing into it at high speed.

The carabinieri also intervened on the spot, who identified those present and subjected the driver of the car, a 22-year-old from Brianza, to an alcohol test, which resulted negative.

The carabinieri are examining videos and video surveillance cameras in the area, the investigations are underway.
