Now, a councilor
denounces "negligence"
on the part of the organization carried out by the Municipality in which
Alberto Descalzo is mayor.
He maintains that the test should have been suspended due to the intense heat wave that has been plaguing the AMBA area for more than a week and because of the warnings from the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
"It was a pity to do the marathon with a
red alert
due to the temperatures, but mainly that
there were no paramedics at the finish line
," denounced Silvina Valdevenito, councilor for "Vamos Ituzaingó."
"They were the same marathon runners who had to do CPR. It is a reflection of the health system and the
negligence with which the Municipality organizes the events
. They are always patches or to advertise. With the announced heat there should have been sanitary posts and The ambulance was late in arriving because the accesses were closed," denounced the official in a chat with
1medio de Morón
.
Another Facebook user, Graciela G., who works at the La Florida sanatorium and lives in Ituzaingó, also denounced the municipality through the social network and warned that there had been several requests to suspend the competition.
"Due to the high temperatures, there were
many requests to suspend
the 10 km Marathon scheduled for 9 a.m. or move it forward to 7 or 8 a.m. The answer was that this time it was going to start at 9 p.m. there should be hydration stations (there always were). At the end of the marathon, a 58-year-old contestant suffered a cardiac arrest and they could not save him. The Municipality's response is to offer condolences and not allow opinions on the Facebook page. Ituzaingó, a place to die. Without anyone taking care of anything clear. They suck !!!", he published.
