(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 13 - The Russians have failed the winter campaign in Ukraine.
The successes remain at the tactical level.
This was stated by former Defense Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Republic (DPR) Igor Girkin, nicknamed 'Strelkov-the rifleman or shooter', commenting on the situation at the front, quoted by the Ukrainian media.
At Bakhmut, the progress of Wagner's units is insignificant, "during the winter campaign, the Russian armed forces were unable to achieve any successes beyond tactics," Girkin noted.
And he said he is sure that the "counter-offensive" of the Ukrainian forces against Bakhmut will not take place.
