(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 13 - Over thirty works by Giuseppe Penone invade the mineral-dense rooms of the Galleria Borghese with their breath of nature and organic matter to then cross even the most unusual places in the gardens, from that of the Aviary to that, exceptionally open , of the Meridian.

From 14 March to 28 May 'Giuseppe Penone.

GestiUniversali', curated by Francesco Stocchi, offers an itinerary in the work of the master of Arte Povera between the 1970s and the early 2000s, which crosses and invades the halls of masterpieces that make the marble vibrate, from the Salone Mariano Rossi - with the installation Blowing leaves and Breathing the shadow with real debarked trees - through the room of Apollo and Daphne, surrounded by the strong scent of

Then Penone's works open towards the outside of the building, in the Garden of the Aviary and in the Garden of the Meridiana to cross them with the metal of his anthropomorphic sculptures penetrated by the trees and bushes of the Vegetal Gestures.

"These are choices I made - explains Giuseppe Penone to ANSA - by smelling the space, trying to inhabit the sensation of the spirit of the place and of the works present".

The director of the Galleria Borghese Francesca Cappelletti explained, opening the itinerary of the exhibition, that it is a new chapter of dialogue between the museum and contemporary art: "In this case the works of the collection are placed in relationship and dialogue with nature and the organic world of Penone's interventions, chosen in the production of his various years precisely for the rooms. It is a reflection on sculpture and on how it can be produced in a third dimension".

On the other hand, the curator Francesco Stocchi explains that "natural time is related to historical time".

The exhibition was created thanks to the support of Fendi, the official sponsor.
