The prefect of Naples Claudio Palomba has adopted a new provision, containing the prescription of the ban on the sale of coupons limited to residents of the city of Frankfurt, for the Napoli-Eintracht Frankfurt soccer match scheduled for Wednesday 15 March in the Maradona stadium.
The meeting had been defined as high-risk by Casms, and had already seen a ban on sales by the prefecture for all residents of Germany, suspended yesterday by the TAR.
The new provision was adopted after this morning's meeting of the provincial committee for safety and public order.
The measure intends to "prevent risks for the protection of public order and safety connected with the presence of Eintracht fans in Naples" in consideration - the prefecture underlined - "of the significant and serious clashes that took place during the first leg match of the match of Champions Eintracht Frankfurt-Naples of 21 February 2023, not limited to the Frankfurt stadium but which took place in the city. The measure is of a precautionary nature to also protect the safety of citizens and the fans themselves".
The sale of the approximately 2,700 away tickets that were originally intended for supporters of the German team therefore remains blocked.
