Accompanied by drums and flutes: the Jordanian royal family celebrates their first wedding (Reuters)
Princess Iman of Jordan married last night (Sunday) her chosen one Jamil Thermiotis, a Greek millionaire who grew up in Venezuela, in a grand event held in the palace in Amman.
The eldest of the daughters of King Abdullah and Queen Rania chose a wedding dress with a classic look from the fashion house Dior under the direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri.
The dress in a white shade leaning towards cream was designed in a conservative style and looked a bit like a restrained Middle Eastern version that merges Kate Middleton's wedding dress with Meghan's.

The 26-year-old princess looked modest and refined thanks to the combination of black textile, devoid of shine or texture, from which most of the dress was sewn, with a feminine strapless silhouette that includes long sleeves.
The lower part of the dress consisted of a flared maxi skirt ending in an elegant back trail, and the neckline, which was signed with a half-golf, as well as the end of the sleeves, was covered with crocheted lace embroidered with beading.
The regal look was completed with a diamond crown and a long lace tiara, which sat atop a "sloppy" updo.

Even if the bride wore Dior for the exciting family event and chose a model from the couture collection for the Fall 2022 season. As someone who is known for her fine style, Queen Rania went for a dress in a beige tone with a slight sheen that featured a fleece texture on the temple and diamond stitching.
Here, too, the state protocol that gives focus to the issue of modesty, including stylistic restraint and a conservative cut that provides extensive coverage for almost the entire body, stood out.
The fashion connection between the mother and her home could also be found at the henna ceremony held last week, where Iman adopted the statement belt from Raniya's wedding dress and matched it with an embroidered dress designed by Rima Davor.
