No worries about the fuel supply, despite the strike in the refineries, reassures the government on Monday.
“
The profession confirms to me that our service stations are well supplied with fuel
,” said Agnès Pannier-Runacher on RMC.
"
The professionals who manage the service stations have learned lessons from the previous strike (in the fall of 2022, editor's note), so as to increase their stocks and be more efficient in transporting fuel to the service stations"
, explained the Minister for Energy Transition.
"
For the moment, there is no particular break
," said the Minister for Energy Transition, speaking of a "
classic state
" at the pump.
On Saturday, less than 5% of service stations in the territory (4.2% exactly) lacked either gasoline (SP 98, SP95, E10) or diesel, according to calculations by Fig
Data
.
On the other hand, if the strike movement were to become entrenched in the long term, this is where the difficulties could arise, recalled Francis Pousse last week.
"
Everything will depend on whether or not the strike continues, whether it intensifies or not
," said the president of the fuel distributors branch within the professional union Mobilians, which represents 5,800 stations out of the approximately 10,000 in France.
"
If everyone rushes to the pump for fear of running out of petrol or diesel, that's where we could have serious fuel supply problems
", noted a TotalEnergies executive.
Agnès Pannier-Runacher also confirmed that “
five refineries (were) affected by strike movements
” against the pension reform on Monday.
A renewable strike was launched in the sector by the CGT federation of chemistry (FNIC-CGT) on March 6 in the evening.
At the TotalEnergies refinery in Donges, near Saint-Nazaire, the agents have already renewed their movement until Thursday 9 p.m., the CGT announced on Friday.
On other sites, such as that of Gonfreville, in the suburbs of Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), discussions must take place this Monday morning to decide on the continuation of the movement.
