Thomas Gottschalk still has no desire for old tracks, will also moderate "Wetten, dass..?" in 2023.

Once he disclosed how much pension he gets.

Cologne – Thomas Gottschalk is 72 years old.

And is thus at an age when many have already retired and are enjoying life in retirement.

But that's obviously not for the legend of the presenter: Gottschalk is still present on TV.

And always makes for a bang!

Thomas Gottschalk: No desire to retire!

He will also moderate "Wetten, dass..?" in 2023

In the meantime he surprised by becoming part of the DSDS jury.

So Gottschalk was back where he had been for many, many years with "Wetten, dass...?": in prime time on Saturday evening.

He also returned there with "Wetten, dass..?" and celebrated a comeback in 2021 with the show that made him oversized.

Because it was so well received, another edition followed in 2022 and a show is also scheduled for November 2023.

Thomas Gottschalk once spoke about his pension

But even a top star receives a pension.

Remarkable with Thomas Gottschalk: He once revealed

exactly

how much pension he collects monthly.

The occasion was an interview with the

Handelsblatt

on his 70th birthday .

So the amount is as of May 2020.

Thomas Gottschalk gets exactly 915.79 euros pension

And how much is it now?

"915 euros and 79 cents," explained Thomas Gottschalk.

"I owe that to my permanent position at Bayerischer Rundfunk in the 1980s."

He already

announced in the

Handelsblatt in May 2020 that he would remain loyal to TV.

"As long as people still want to see my turnip where they always found me, namely on linear television, I'll keep it in the picture with my hair done well," he said at the time.

He said it made "no sense for him to twirl around on YouTube just because it's cool, but nobody needs me.

I don't stand a chance against adolescent influencers who explain to their audience how to pop pimples.

I don't even have the pimples."

No desire for a TV pension: Thomas Gottschalk continues to be on TV

Thomas Gottschalk's appearance on "Wetten, dass..?" is certain for 2023, but the future of the show is still open.

This was explained by the ZDF director at the end of December 2022. "We'll be quietly considering next year how things will continue after '23," said Norbert Himmler of the German Press Agency (dpa) and added: "The show has a radiance that is obviously still unbroken.

There is no other show that reaches so many viewers.”

ZDF initially relaunched the TV classic in 2021 as a one-off Saturday evening show with presenters Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker.

After the great success, two more editions have been announced for 2022 and 2023.

The edition on November 19, 2022 in Friedrichshafen was seen by around 10.4 million viewers, significantly fewer than a year earlier, when almost 14 million tuned in.

In 2023, according to previous planning, the show is to be broadcast from Offenburg on November 25th.

And if it shatters afterwards?

Then Gottschalk still has a good 900 euros in pension a month.

How high is the pension if you have never worked in your life?
