23 Oscars were awarded - and one would like to see all the winners immediately.

Here you can read where you can see the films.

Who is streaming?

The answer is here!

Guillermo del Toro not only thanked "Mama and Papa" when accepting his Oscar for the best animated film.

But explicitly also the streaming service Netflix.

His "Pinocchio"

is shown there

, which, like so many films, was shown in the cinema for a very short time.

Regrettable.

But you have to give Netflix that: They produce fantastic works.

Edward Berger also thanked the US company.

His

"Nothing New in the West"

is available on Netflix.

It will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 24, 2023.

Kartiki Gonsalve is also full of praise for the streaming service, her documentary

The Elephant Whisperer

is available there.

Also Oscar winner

"Everything everywhere all at once"

can be watched comfortably from the sofa (Amazon Prime Video, Apple+), but this visually stunning trip through the multiverse has a much stronger effect on the screen.

Lucky for cineastes that several Munich cinemas have it in their programs again: City, Monopol, Neues Rottmann and Museum Lichtspiele.

"Nothing new in the West" and Co.: Here you can see the winners!

The remarkable documentary

"Navalny"

celebrated its German premiere at the Munich Dok.Fest in 2022.

It has now been released on DVD (DCM) and is available on RTL+, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

If you want to see how the art of make-up turns a slim person into an obese person, don't watch

"Elvis"

(although Tom Hanks, despite his lousy mask, is also worth seeing on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video), but

"The Whale"

.

The Oscar-winning makeup artists did a great job transforming Brendan Fraser into a 600-pound man.

"The Whale" will start in German cinemas on April 27, 2023.

There's also plenty to see in

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever"

.

This is possible via DVD and Blu-ray (Disney) as well as on Disney+, Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.

All 23 Oscars were awarded live again this year.

So also for the best animated short film:

"The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse"

shows Apple TV.

"Avatar: The Way of Water"

can still be seen in cinemas - in Munich in Cinemaxx, Mathäser and Royal Filmpalast.

It was also important to Tom Cruise that his

"Top Gun: Maverick"

only starts when the cinemas are open again without restrictions.

He was celebrated by many as the "saviour of cinema".

The film is a rather pompous salvation of US patriotism, but if you still want to watch it, it's available on DVD (Paramount) and on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

Sarah Polley's

"The Pronunciation"

can be viewed at the Monopol in Munich.

The dancers from "RRR"

ensured a good mood at the Oscar gala

.

If you want more of it: “RRR” starts on March 25, 2023.

And is it already running where?

Well, on Netflix...
