A dress that comes shrunk to the size of a Hungarian cube has been making a lot of noise online in recent weeks, and when online influencer Madeleine came across it on Tiktok and later on Muji, she decided to give it a chance.

The influencer purchased the dress for $16 and quickly took a video of herself trying it on.

Madeleine warned in the video that even though the dress is compressed into a tiny cube, there is no need to soak it in water for it to swell: "Don't soak it in water like another one of those towels," she wrote alongside the video, adding: "It's a dress. It's really tiny - like a teacup for scale ".

She also held up a tiny bottle of Advil to compare sizes - with the dress looking exactly the same size.

"It was in my 'For You' (recommended on Tiktok) and when I was in Moji today I came across it," she added.

When she opens the striped dress - made of Indian cotton - she says to the camera: "Okay, this is a dress. I really don't know what its purpose is,

After trying on the dress, she said: "It's not even ugly. If I was in a pinch, I would definitely wear it. Shall I put it in my beach bag?".

Madeleine then "styled it", adding a black belt around the waist, black tights, black boots, a sweater over the top of the dress, a cream jacket and a black bag.

She also tried on the dress with the sweater thrown over her shoulders and the sleeves tucked into her belt, which she said she would wear like that "if it were warmer."

"There's a chance I'll buy another one of these!", she concluded.

Other Tiktok surfers tried the dress and were enthusiastic - for example Evelyn, who admitted that the dress attracted her attention because it was so small that it could fit in a purse.

Evelyn then took a picture of herself buying the dress in a dark blue store.

She then took it with her on a trip and waited until she reached her vacation destination to try it on.

Chantal also tried on the dress and explained: "Believe it or not, this cube is a dress. When I saw it in the shop, I thought it was some kind of stationery and then I read 'dress' and it was only £7 so I had to get it for the section.

I was really intrigued to see how a whole dress could fit into this little cube so it was really exciting for me."

After being able to take the dress apart and model it, Chantal said: "At first I thought it would look like an accordion you make out of tissue paper at school.

But then I layered it and it got interesting.”

Chantal went on to say that it was a hidden gem and she couldn't wait to style it and wear it over and over again.
