The royal family is celebrating Commonwealth Day and the distinguished list has arrived to say a prayer at Westminster Abbey.
Light winds blew in the air and as Kate and William stepped out of their car in coordinated blocks the Princess of Wales almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment as her skirt flew through the air.
Luckily for her it was a midi skirt that was quite straight at the top, so even the part that flew off was far from creating an embarrassing fashion accident.

Middleton wore an excellent Erdem skirt suit in navy blue with white floral embellishments.
The tailored blazer in the peplum cut ($2,490) flattered the princess especially and came over a midi skirt ($1,695) whose lining is in perfect contrast to the exterior - a white background with blue flower decorations.

The monochromatic look on pure blue continued with Gianvito Rossi's velvet stilettos (€630), a matching blue velvet clutch bag by Amy London for £350 and a wide-brimmed hat by Philip Treacy.
There were also elegant gloves plus a bow tie that she held in her hand, and there was also something borrowed from the luxurious jewelry cabinet from which Middleton always pulls out treasures - amazing sapphire and diamond earrings that belonged to the late Princess Diana, which she used to wear on quite a few occasions in the past.
