Here is a product that you can fly on, and also mean it.

These days a new and exciting means of transportation is commercially launched: a flying motorcycle.

This amazing tool is now sold in Japan, and can be ordered online through the company's website for a price of 550,000 dollars.

The new vessel, named XTURISMO and defined on the Aerwins website as a "luxury air cruise vessel", reaches a length of 3.6 meters and is offered in blue, red or black colors.

And if it reminds you of something, you are absolutely right: the hovering motorcycle was designed and developed inspired by the "Star Wars" movie series.

"Bring science fiction to life"

It weighs 300 kilograms and the New York Post reports that it is now a finalist in the 2023 Edison Awards, an American competition that encourages innovative inventions.

It has two large central rotors powered by a Kawasaki internal combustion engine producing 228 horsepower.

In addition, a battery is installed in it that supplies power to four additional rotors located at the ends of the vessel.

These are intended for the purpose of stabilizing the vessel in the air.

According to various reports, the motorcycle - for which many have been waiting for years - can reach a speed of 80-105 km/h.

"Bring science fiction to life: imagine a world where humans have the ability to rule the skies.

There is no doubt that life will be freer," reads the official description of the means of transportation. "Expand your perceptions regarding transportation, experience the world as never before, be the pioneers of the next generation of transportation.

XTURISMO was created with all of these in mind.

A new journey begins."

And beyond the big words, the aforementioned motorcycle reminds in its appearance of the vehicles used by the soldiers of the Galactic Empire when they chased Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) in the dense forests on the planet Endor, in the movie "Return of the Jedi", which was released in 1983 and was the sixth film in the "Star Trek" series.

And that's certainly enough to turn science fiction fans on.

Inquiries from all over the world

Aerwins announced in June 2022 the expected launch of its flying motorcycle.

Later, in September, it presented its performance at the World Auto Show held in Detroit in the United States.

Since then, company representatives have been receiving inquiries from people all over the world who are interested in purchasing it.

But much to the (temporary) disappointment, "Star Wars" fans and other aviation and air mobility enthusiasts will have to wait a bit because currently, the flying motorcycle is only available for purchase in Japan.

And even if you buy it in Japan, you will only be able to ride/fly it within a special and closed test track.

And until the future does arrive, sources in the industry point out that the advanced tool will most likely be used in everything related to rescue operations, assistance at disaster sites and tests of various infrastructures.

All of us can only be content with the video released by the company, in which the new vehicle is seen hovering over Lake Yamanaka in Japan, with the famous Mount Fuji in the background.

"By publishing this video, we hope that viewers will be moved by the natural beauty of the Yamanashi region, and feel the anticipation and excitement of the future mobility that can be achieved through our technological capabilities," the company's representatives stated in a statement they published.
