From March 15, students can apply for the long-awaited energy flat rate.
The instructions are long and an app is experiencing higher download numbers than ever before.
Munich – The e-mail with the subject “Application for the energy flat rate” is finally in the university mailbox.
At first, many students are probably a bit puzzled when they look at the instructions for applying for the 200 euro one-off payment.
After all, the young target group acts routinely and quickly on the Internet.
But when it comes to paying out money, seemingly cumbersome verification processes are necessary.
An app is also needed.
This is how students can apply for the one-time payment
In contrast to employees, the money does not end up in the account by itself.
Students must submit an application.
To do this, you must first create a BundID account.
This requires an access code from the university and digital proof of identity.
In addition to the online ID, it is possible to use an Elster certificate, but many do not have the latter.
This means that students are obliged to use the online ID function.
This is where the AusweisApp2 comes into play.
Out of nowhere, the app suddenly experiences a huge rush and climbs up the app charts.
In the Apple App Store, AusweisApp2 is the number one free app.
And the Perso app also made it into the top 20 in the Google Play Store – just ahead of the Instagram app
(as of March 14, 1:10 p.m.)

ID App2
The app is experiencing a boom in the context of student one-off payments, but has been around since 2014. It is software that is required to use the online ID function of the ID card.
Digital identification: That's why you need an app to apply for the energy flat rate
The electronic proof of identity by students should save a further circumvention step via the university.
The authenticity of an ID document cannot be reliably checked without this verification app.
That is why all newer ID cards have the online function.

In everyday life, however, this is rarely used.
Not everyone has had them activated at the Citizens Registration Office and the required pin ready.
In this case, it is unavoidable for students to contact the university or go to the citizens' registration office.
