ChatGpt, in Italy the AI ​​chatbot is driven by young people

The great interest generated by ChatGpt does not spare Italy.

According to an analysis by research firm Comscore, in January, the OpenAI.com site, where the AI ​​chatbot was accessible before it was restricted for too many accesses, was among the top 150 most visited sites and apps in our Village.

Thanks in large part to the male audience between the ages of 15 and 24.

In the first month of 2023, ChatGpt was visited by over 1.4 million unique users in Italy alone.

Audience who, on average, spent 13.1 minutes per month on the site, more than Wikipedia (11.2 minutes), and newspaper sites such as Gazzetta dello Sport and Fanpage.it (5.1 and 3.5 minutes, respectively) and by OnlyFans (4.2 minutes).

The average time spent on ChatGpt from smartphones was instead lower and equal to 9.7 minutes.

A growing trend but which, as the researchers explain, cannot yet be compared to the services that Italians access more often, such as Tik Tok and YouTube, on which users spend 23 hours and 11 hours per month respectively.

OpenAI recorded more than one million interactions on social media in January 2023, doubling the numbers generated in the entire fourth quarter of 2022. For ChatGpt the figures are even higher, with 9.2 million interactions in January 2023 and a 330% increase compared to the last quarter of 2022. Meanwhile, thanks to ChatGpt, accesses to the experimental version of Microsoft's Bing engine are flying, which includes the chatbot as an alternative way of obtaining information on the web.
