Pension reform: parades in large cities mobilize little

2023-03-15T12:54:47.541Z

MAP - This mobilization takes place four days after a day of demonstrations which recorded the weakest participation since the beginning of the social conflict.

The French were called on Wednesday to demonstrate for a seventh day against a very unpopular pension reform.

A new test day for the continuation of the showdown between the government and the unions.

But the demonstrators, torn between fatalism, anger, and sometimes the hope of making the government back down, are far from filling the processions.

A feeling of deja vu last Saturday, March 11, where the big cities had failed to mobilize.

What about this Wednesday, March 15 in the big cities?

The map updates continuously

Orléans only managed to mobilize 3,100 people, its lowest score since the start of the protest movement against the pension reform.

Long at the forefront of the mobilization Rennes (with 7,500 people in the streets) weakened very clearly after a major demonstration on March 7 with around 30,000 demonstrators, the movement having already been largely less followed on Saturday March 11 (11,000 demonstrators).

Same observation in Grenoble (5200 people).
