Tar, 'void a question of the competition for tenured teachers'

One of the questions of the written test of the competition for tenured teachers is void.

This was decided by the Lazio Regional Administrative Court, in partial acceptance of an appeal brought with the lawyers Santi Delia and Michele Bonetti by a candidate excluded from the procedure in Sicily after the evaluation of the proposed solution with the answer initially deemed incorrect.

The judges considered the objection to be founded after the filing of an opinion by the Accademia della Crusca which, with reference to one of the questions in the test, "appears to confirm the correctness of the answer provided by the appellant".

Furthermore, according to the Tar, "the further opinions in the documents endorse the position of the Academy and in some cases (for example those of professors Castiglione and Serianni) are so clear-cut as to go so far as to argue that the only really correct answer with reference to the sentence submitted to the candidates with the question in question, was the one given by the appellant and not the other considered as such by the ministry".

The consequence is that "the complaint raised by the appellant must be accepted in the sense that the answer provided by the same must also be considered correct, leaving it up to the Administration to adopt the consequent measures in order for the appellant to pass the written test".
