The tragic episode occurred this Tuesday on National Route 5, at the height of the July 9 game.

Michael Diaz (37) was driving his Dodge RAM truck when he collided head-on with a white Kangoo.

His wife Barbara Oliver died instantly and his 8-year-old son was rushed to hospital, although he barely had a sprain.

Aldo Flaqué, driver of the utility, also died.

Everything happened minutes after 12 and under torrential rain.
