(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 16 - On board a police bus, which took them to the rear entrance of Palazzo Chigi, the survivors and family members of the victims of the Cutro shipwreck arrived at the seat of government, who responded to the premier's invitation Giorgia Meloni.
The group, made up of around thirty people, flew to Rome from Calabria aboard an Italian Air Force C-130.
The meeting with the Prime Minister, in the Green Room, will be confidential, behind closed doors.
According to what was explained on the eve by some members, the delegation will ask Meloni to continue looking for those who are still missing, to facilitate reunification with families even abroad and to create, with Europe, humanitarian corridors to help people in countries such as Afghanistan where living conditions are not safe.
The police forces moved TV operators, photographers and journalists who were positioned in front of the entrance to Palazzo Chigi, placing them on one side of Piazza Colonna.
