The scene took place at the film's premiere, at the Paramount Theater in Austin, TX, as part of the SXSW Film Festival.
Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski took the stage after the screening of the 2 hour and 49 minute feature film, to thunderous applause from the audience.

"It's one of the best audiences of all time," Stahelski agreed.
An elegant repartee
During a Q&A session, a range of topics were discussed, such as their favorite moments from the film or planning and rehearsing fight scenes.
Then the exchange focused on the watch and the alliance of the character played by Keanu Reeves and that the latter kept as souvenirs from the shoot.
It was then that a woman named Susan Stein, in the audience, shouted: "I'm going to marry you!".
To which the actor replied elegantly: “Yes, be careful what you wish for”, triggering the hilarity of the assistance.
Another fan took the opportunity to comment on the actor's ability to never seem to age.
"So man, I'm getting old," he remarked wearily.
Really, I'm getting old.
That's what's happening, man."
In any case, the heart of the actor is taken by his companion, the artist Alexandra Grant.
The couple met at a dinner party in 2009 and waited ten years to go public with the relationship.
