This is Keifi Mojtaba. He had been arrested for trying to travel to Uruguay without documents.

An Iranian detained in a controversial context last June in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Ríos,

tried to escape from prison

in the last hours.

He had been arrested for trying to buy tickets to travel to the neighboring country without documents.

This is

Keifi Mojtaba

, whom the authorities took nearly three months to identify and whose case occurred in the midst of the scandal over the Venezuelan-Iranian plane that had been delayed in Ezeiza, for which reason an alert was issued at that time about possible

terrorist networks in Argentina.

The young man was imprisoned in Penal Unit No. 9, located a few meters from the international route that leads to the border crossing with the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, until this Thursday, when he jumped the perimeter

of the prison farm and fled.

The maneuver was quickly detected by the Prison Service guards who were watching the place, who quickly began shooting

into the air

in order to extend the warning to the rest of the force in the area.

It was then that an emergency operation was deployed in which several police officers participated, who mobilized in a matter of seconds to recapture him and put him back in jail.

"We were quickly able to recapture him and he is currently housed in an individual cell, away from the common prison population," said Mayor Valentin Polito in dialogue with local radio station

2820

.

After the fact, new information about the legal situation of the Iranian emerged, which had been kept confidential for several months.

In this regard, they indicated that their case will be brought to trial in the coming days and that their file is processed in the federal court of Concepción del Uruguay -in charge of Dr. Pablo Seró- from where preventive detention was ordered in Penal Unit No. °9 after being processed in the month of July.

The arrest of the Iranian

Justice ordered the arrest of the Iranian in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Ríos, when he tried to buy tickets to travel to Uruguay on June 25.

The news was spread on Twitter by Juntos por el Cambio deputy Gerardo Milman, who stated that "he was arrested in Concepción del Uruguay trying to buy tickets to Concordia with false documentation and then go to Uruguay."

“He barely speaks English.

Apparently with an ID from a Corrientes and Buenos Aires registration. He stated that he was Iranian.

Will he be a flight instructor? ”, Milman had insinuated ironically, relating to the case of the Venezuelan-Iranian plane that had politics on edge, when the same JxC deputy revealed the suspicious flight through a request for a report.

The arrest occurred when a bus porter heard him say something strange and called the police, who immediately intervened.

It was then that they discovered that he had false documentation.

He had with him a driver's license from a person from Buenos Aires and an ID from another from Corrientes.

The detainee said “to be Asan Azad, 28 years old, date of birth 05/16/1994, born in Iran, Iranian nationality, son of Azan Ramazan (father) and Zara Rivan (mother)”.

But everything was doubtful: another version shows that he would have claimed to be an Iraqi citizen of Iran.

What's more, this would not be the first incident for which he was arrested: almost a year ago he would have been detained in La Rioja and would have claimed to be Palestinian.
