France: transversal motion to overthrow the government

(ANSA) - PARIS, MARCH 17 - A transversal motion of censure was filed today at the National Assembly in Paris with the intention of bringing down the French government, as part of the parliamentary battle against Emmanuel Macron's pension reform.

Several opposition MPs, on the initiative of the Liot group which brings together centrists and ex-Macronists, have joined forces in an attempt to overthrow the executive led by Elisabeth Borne.
