A group of activists wearing the colors of the CGT gathered on the Paris inner ring road on Friday morning.
After blocking traffic at Porte de Clignancourt, the demonstrators headed for Porte de la Chapelle to the east.
Traffic, as a result, is considerably slowed down.
The hundred demonstrators, who found themselves on the ring road around 7:30 a.m., left the lane at the Porte de la Chapelle shortly after 8 a.m.
A police roadblock prevented them from continuing.
"
We are the ones who work, so we are the ones who decide
," they chant.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon encouraged this Friday morning on France Inter that these demonstrations continue throughout the country.
"Spontaneous mobilizations throughout the country, I encourage them!"
