The Chamber of Engineers in Israel signed a first and special cooperation agreement of its kind with the Organization of Engineers in Morocco. The purpose of the agreement: promotion and development and sharing of information in the field

At the end of the week (Thursday), and in parallel with the celebrations of the centenary of the founding of the Chamber of Engineers in Israel, an extraordinary strategic partnership agreement and the first of its kind was signed for cooperation between the Organization of Engineers in Morocco and the Chamber of Engineers, Architects and Academics in the technological professions in Israel;

This is with the aim of promoting and developing cooperation in the fields of engineering, science and technology between Morocco and Israel.

The agreement was made possible as part of the Abraham Agreements signed in September 2020 and the subsequent normalization of relations with Morocco in December 2020.



Participated in an exciting and historic ceremony, held online in several locations in Israel and Morocco: Prof. Eng. The action of the Engineers' Organization in Morocco, Guy Shaesa, Chairman of the Chamber of Engineers in Israel;

Prof. Ehud Manifaz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Chamber of Engineers; Gil Shavit, CEO of the Engineers' Organizations;

Usherit Yifarah is the Director of Marketing and Commercial and Global Cooperation at the Bureau.



The signed agreement constitutes a first glimpse of the potential cooperation between the two organizations and its main points: sharing technological engineering knowledge, joint activities that include mutual delegations and building joint programs for academia and industry.

The Chamber of Engineers is celebrating 100 years

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Eng. Hamid Khalifi, President of the Organization of Engineers of Morocco, said "The Organization of Engineers of Morocco welcomes the initiative to promote cooperation and greatly appreciates the planned activities following the signing of the agreement."



Guy Shaesa, chairman of the Chamber of Engineers in Israel, said that "The Chamber of Engineers is celebrating a hundred years and over the years its goal was and still is to promote and develop the fields of engineering in Israel along with the development of human capital.



The signing of this historic agreement is an exciting and respectful occasion ,

and I am hopeful that the cooperation will bear fruit and that both parties will be able to share engineering-technological knowledge."

The significant contribution of the fields of engineering and technology to the social and economic development of the State of Israel.



Also as part of the strategic agreement, Osherit Yifarah, director of marketing and commercial and global collaborations at the Chamber, indicates a number of immediate activities within the framework of the collaboration;

"At the request of the King of Morocco, through the Organization of Engineers in Morocco, the Chamber of Engineers in Israel responded positively and mobilized to help with the challenge of water resources in the country and their management. Second, it was agreed that students from universities and young engineers would participate in the national hackathon from the foundation of the IRA Foundation that takes place every year on Passover Eve. Thirdly, a combination of the Chamber was proposed Morocco's engineers in international initiatives in the field of innovation and academic literacy."
