The Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue intervened for an avalanche in the Vees gully, in Val Veny, above Courmayeur (Aosta).
The alarm was given around 1 pm by skiers who witnessed the detachment.
It is not excluded - according to what has been learned - that some skiers may have been involved.
Given the impossibility of reaching the place by helicopter due to bad weather (absence of visibility at high altitudes), two teams made up of technicians from the Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue, Guardia di Finanza and doctors left by land.
The intervention - they let know from the rescue center - is made difficult not only by the weather conditions, but also by the instability of the snowpack.
