Storm alert for the City and Province of Buenos Aires: they warn that some will be locally "severe"

locally strong or severe

".

This occurs while in the AMBA there are still thousands of homes without electricity.

, most of them from the Edesur concession.

This Sunday it occurs in the city of Buenos Aires and its surroundings with a probability of

 some showers in the morning and strong storms in the afternoon

the minimum temperature is 23 degrees and 31 maximum.

According to the SMN report, the winds will start from the north, but will rotate to the south and southeast.


The national body warned that "they will be accompanied by very intense gusts, occasional hail, very strong electrical activity and

abundant waterfalls in short periods

."

In some areas of the province of Buenos Aires, storms are expected this morning, while in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA)

the alert is in effect, but starting in the afternoon.

"Accumulated precipitation values ​​between 70 and 90 mm are expected, and may be exceeded locally," added the SMN.

Strong thunderstorms are expected beginning Sunday afternoon.

This orange alert for storms means that "weather phenomena with a capacity for damage and risk of momentary interruption of daily activities" are probable.

For this Monday, more rain

The government entity reported that the instability will continue this Monday in a large part of the AMBA, with isolated storms and showers.

It is estimated that the minimum will be around 21 degrees and the maximum will drop, only 26.

Meanwhile, for Tuesday, the probability of showers or rain decreases and the maximum temperature will continue to drop.

Mostly cloudy skies and a temperature of 20 degrees minimum and 24 maximum are expected.
