Atp of Indian Wells: Medvedev ko, Alcaraz wins

The 19-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz won the Indian Wells Masters 1000 for the first time, the eighth ATP title of his career, beating the 27-year-old Russian Daniil Medvedev 6-3 6-2. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - INDIAN WELLS (USA), MARCH 20 - The 19-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz won the Indian Wells Masters 1000 for the first time, the eighth ATP title of his career, beating the 27-year-old Russian Daniil Medvedev 6-36-2.


    Taking advantage of Novak Djokovic's absence from the Californian tournament, Alcaraz bypasses the Serbian and returns to number 1 in tennis in the world.


    The blue Jannik Sinner from today will instead be n.11 of the ATP ranking.
