(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 20 - "It is a question to be addressed to the government. All that has been done now is a combination of three elements".
Thus the Governor of Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, during the presentation of Affari & Finanza, answering a question on the Pnrr.
"With the reforms - he added - we are more or less proceeding. The investments managed by the center will need to be put into practice. It is relevant
on the spending capacity and management of funds at the local level. One of the components of the Pnrr is that of intervening from the center at the local level ".
"It's a race against time. - explains the European commissioner Paolo Gentiloni - The commission is examining Italy's third disbursement request. And we are examining it by taking a few more weeks".
"Then - he added - this year we have two more requests for disbursement. All together they make 34 billion, the value of a finance deal. There is no obsessive rigidity from the European Commission, considering that the plans of three countries have been revised. Negotiations and they make the necessary corrections. In Brussels there is maximum availability and I know that the government is working head-on. But we must not let our guard down.
The trickiest part is grounding the resources.
We have to roll up our sleeves and make it all work.
I am optimistic because I know the Italian government's commitment to this challenge". (ANSA).
