(ANSA) - BEIJING, MARCH 20 - Russia and China are fighting "common threats", while their relationship is getting "steadily stronger" and is at the "highest level in their history": Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the day of his arrival in Moscow of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, he wrote an article for the People's Daily, evaluating Xi's mission a "historic event" that "reaffirms the special nature of the Russia-China partnership".
Putin therefore describes Xi as a "good old friend. We have reached an unprecedented level of trust in our political dialogue, our strategic cooperation has become truly global in nature and is at the gates of a new era".
