Taylor Swift is back, and not least.
Five years after the
Reputation Tour
and three years after the cancellation of
Lover Fest 2020
due to the pandemic, the 33-year-old singer is back on the music scene for a spectacular show.
On Friday, March 17, in Glendale, Arizona, she kicked off
The Eras
, her sixth tour, giving her fans what they've been waiting for for years.
The tour is not the only surprise concocted by the singer for the
“Swifties”
.
On the occasion of the
Eras Tour
, the singer also unveiled four new songs.
These include
Eyes Open, Safe & Sound
and
If This Was a Movie
, billed as
"Taylor
's Versions"
of
old songs.
According to Pitchfork,
All of the Girls You Loved Before
, the last track on the list, is none other than a romantic ballad taken from the recording sessions for the album
Lover
, released in 2019.
The long-awaited tour
To promote
Midnight
, her latest album, Taylor Swift will give fifty concerts across the United States.
This year – and as during the
Reputation Tour
in 2019 – the tour started in Glendale.
In total, nearly 80,000 people were gathered.
Even the mayor of Glendale joined in the game, renaming the city
"Swift City"
in honor of the singer.
"What an energetic press conference this morning announcing the renaming of the city of Glendale to Swift City on March 17th and 18th in honor of Taylor Swift," Jerry Weiers wrote on Twitter
.
Taylor Swift marked the year 2022 by unveiling
Midnight
, her tenth album.
The disc spent five weeks at the top of the US best-selling albums chart, allowing the singer to become the best-selling album in the world that year.
And if her album
Midnight
crowned her with success,
The Eras Tour
is about to do the same, the singer having sold out all the tickets available for her tour in just a few hours.
