After a string of days of suffocating heat, the rain brought in the last hours the long-awaited relief both in the City of Buenos Aires and in the Buenos Aires suburbs.
This Monday morning, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a
yellow alert for storms
, which may be accompanied by gusts, occasional hail and intense electrical activity, for the towns of San Luis, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires.
In San Luis, storms are expected in the central zone (lower zone of Belgrano, Juan Martín Pueyrredón, Coronel Pringles and General Pedernera) and in Córdoba they are expected in the center and south of the province (Juárez Celman, lower zone of Río Cuarto, Marcos Juárez , General San Martín, Union, among other departments).
The notice applies to the cities of
Baradero, Ramallo, San Nicolás and San Pedro,
in the north of the province of Buenos Aires.
For this Monday showers are expected in the City of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs.

In the case of Santa Fe, the alert falls on the southern towns, such as Rosario, Constitución and San Lorenzo, while in Entre Ríos it covers the departments of Colón, Gualeguaychú, Victoria and Gualeguay, among others.
For all cases,
the values of accumulated precipitation are estimated between 30 and 60 millimeters
, and may be exceeded in a timely manner, with the exception of San Luis, which is expected to be between 15 and 30 millimeters.
For the inhabitants of areas under alert for storms, the SMN recommended avoiding outdoor activities, not taking out the garbage and removing objects that prevent water from draining, not taking refuge near trees and electricity poles that could fall and, to minimize the risk of being struck by lightning, do not stay on beaches, rivers, lagoons or pools.

This Monday occurs in the city of Buenos Aires and its surroundings with
storms and showers
throughout the day, an estimated temperature of 21 degrees minimum and 27 degrees maximum, and winds from the north rotating to the southeast and east, reported the SMN.
On Tuesday, meanwhile,
mostly cloudy skies are expected,
with winds from the east and a temperature of 20 degrees minimum and 25 maximum, the agency added in its extended forecast.
On Wednesday the sky will remain partly cloudy and the temperature will be at a minimum of 18 degrees and a maximum of 27 degrees.
