(ANSA) - SASSARI, MARCH 21 - The European arrest warrant has been revoked for the MEP and Catalan independence leader, Carles Puigdemont.
The Sassari Court of Appeal revoked the provision following the modification of the Spanish penal code, from which the crime of sedition was canceled.
An accusation for which, precisely on the basis of the European arrest warrant, Puigdemont was arrested two years ago in Alghero and then fled to Belgium.
