(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 21 - This morning the Moscow police carried out "large-scale" searches in the homes of several members of the civil rights group Memorial, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Moscow Times reports it by taking up the organization's announcement on Telegram.
The searches began around 7.30 Moscow time and are believed, writes the Russian newspaper, to be linked to a criminal investigation recently launched into charges of alleged "rehabilitation of Nazism" by the group.
Russian investigators had already opened a criminal investigation into the group for the same reasons in early February 2022.
