Munich – The last recall at Ikea was not long ago, so the furniture giant has to address its customers again.

In mid-January, Ikea recalled a mirror because of the risk of injury, now a toy for children is affected.

The Swedes warn on their homepage against using the Blavingad fishing game.

“For Ikea, safety is paramount.

As such, we are taking precautionary measures and are therefore recalling the colorful Blavingad Fishing Game due to a possible choking hazard."

The furniture retailer assures that "all products are developed using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program".

Nevertheless, deficiencies were found.

Small rivets could come loose during said fishing game, which can be dangerous, especially for small children.

Therefore, the decision was made to call back, it says on the homepage.

All batches are affected.

Ikea recalls toys - purchase price is refunded in all branches even without a receipt

Ikea is also appealing to customers who bought the Blavingad fishing game to "stop using it immediately" and to return it.

Buyers get the money back in every branch, and it is not necessary to show the receipt.

The product affected by the recall can no longer be selected in the online shop.

Ikea had already had to recall a swivel chair at the end of 2022 due to the high risk of falling and injury.
