Cinema: the “crazy” films that shaped Tarantino

STORY – If he did not speak about the rumor announcing his tenth and last feature film, the director does not hesitate to give his very clear opinion on those who have marked him. He recorded it in Cinema speculations, in bookstores this Wednesday.

Thursday March 29, Quentin Tarantino will go on stage at the Grand Rex in Paris.

The director of

Pulp Fiction

, Palme d'Or at Cannes, is not coming to present a new feature film in preview.

He hasn't touched a camera since

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

, released in the summer of 2019. His tenth and final film is still just a script.

According to

The Hollywood Reporter , Tarantino would shoot

The Movie Critic

in the fall , inspired by Pauline Kael, the fearsome

New Yorker

film critic.

- she shot Kubrick and Lean, defended Coppola, Peckinpah and De Palma.

The story would take place in Los Angeles in the late 1970s. It fits more or less with Kael's brief stint in Hollywood, when Warren Beatty advised her to drop the pen to play producer.

The experience lasts six months.

This is all just speculation, an exercise Tarantino loves.

Tarantino didn't miss a paper from Kael.

He quotes it several times in

Cinéma Speculations
