God bless you

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel, the mother and daughter duo Tovala and Naama Hasin presented a colorful, iridescent and shimmering collection, which on the one hand wishes for better days, and on the other hand embraces the past and the designers' roots in the kibbutz.

While the clothes that hit the runway kept the distinct hand signature of the Toval'a+ fashion house, the summer 2023 collection also presented an innovative, creative and surprising writing more than ever.

About 52 models took to the catwalk with dance steps and dance moves in which the three symbols of the three religions are interwoven, in a print or a metal motif (similar to the well-known tattoo found on the forehead of the designer Toval'a Hassin).

This is alongside other models and accessories decorated with the Israeli flag inlaid with Swarovski stones.

The show was opened by Naama Hasin's son, Itamar, in a floor-length dress with a gray-black check next to his partner Toher, to the tune of the song "The Rebbe said he should get married".

Immediately after them, black, white, gray and edgy designs appeared, which were soon replaced by an abundance of color, textures and prints.

Striped bralette and relaxed pants sets teamed with wonderful long jackets, metallic fabrics in purples and blues, sweet floral A-line dresses and all-over checkered ones.

The music that accompanied the display set the tone, and it ended to the sounds of the song "Democracy" from the movie Casablanca.

Aharon Ganish in collaboration with Ronit Raphael

Aharon Ganish is responsible for the icing on the cake, which sweetened, excited and sealed the second day of exhibitions.

The collection, which embarks on a journey of the rise of light over darkness, was inspired by the verse from Deuteronomy "Kumi Ori because my length is coming".

Ganish's clothes receive an interpretation from personal processes that the designer experiences, which he expresses, and imprints, on the clothes through symbolic and ceremonial elements associated with his childhood, such as the crow with a rose in his mouth.

Tailored performances with many fine details and sophisticated layering stood out, wonderful puffy sleeves that peek under the vest, huge scarves and, of course, the iconic 3D doll that also returned in the 2023 collection. The silhouettes are oversized, blurring the boundaries and gender, and the natural fabrics are combined

with leather, processed and chiffon.

The locks ranged from the perfi with somewhat dark touches, clown clothing sets with spectacular piero collars, and the interpretation that was presented as a kitel - an item of clothing from the Hasidic world - stood out in particular.

The finale was signed by Galit Gutman and her daughter Emma, when they walked hand in hand dressed in layers and layers.
