(ANSA) - GENEVA, MARCH 21 - More than 530 people have been killed since the beginning of this year in clashes between gangs in Haiti, the United Nations announced today.
This year, "up to March 15, a total of 531 people have been killed, 300 injured and 277 kidnapped in gang-related incidents that occurred mainly in the capital Port-au-Prince," said the spokeswoman for the United Nations Office for Human Rights , Marta Hurtado, adding that at least 208 people were killed and 164 injured in the first two weeks of March alone, mostly by snipers.
