In Milan 50 thousand in procession to remember the victims of the mafia

promoted by Libera in Milan on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Commitment in remembrance of the victims of the Mafia.

About 50,000 in the procession, according to the police headquarters.

Among them also 500 relatives of the victims of the crime.

Behind the slogan 'It's possible', among others, the secretary of the CGIL Maurizio Landini and the president and founder of Libera, don Luigi Ciotti, with the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala who, before parading, greeted one by one the relatives in front row of mafia victims.

Also present was the secretary dem Elly Schlein.

"It is essential to remember all the innocent victims of criminal mafia violence. It is a day that we strongly wanted, but we must not forget that 80% of these family members do not know the truth or know only a part of it. Yet the truths walk around in the streets of our city, there are those who have seen, there are those who know", says Don Luigi Ciotti. 

"Then it is necessary for us to become aware, in our country, that the criminal mafia presence that has killed so many people is a problem that cannot be forgotten. But there is a need

- he continued - It is not an event, it's not a ceremony, it's not just a procession. We make sure that every year there is a day that reminds us of this, but every day there must be a commitment from everyone".
